<Where did we come from? (And what can we teach our kids?)>

Apes, and Apes. Think about it : No Dem/Repub in the US, no Israel/Palestine conflict, no India/Pakistan conflict, no Global warming conflict...etc etc

Evolution doesn't explain the "origin of the world". Only the origin of species. Why do we allow the Supreme Court to dictate what we teach our children but not (yet) what we print in newspapers?

The arguments of anti-evolutionists have themselves evolved. Initially, they insisted on creationism, the notion that the origin of the world was literally as the Book of Genesis proclaims. But, after the Supreme Court in 1987 struck down a Louisiana law that required teaching creationism alongside evolution, other approaches, including eventually the more subtle intelligent design theory, ripened.

The guy who wrote the science book that they put the sticker on said he couldn't understand why they'd single out evolution as the only thing to approach with an open mind, but he could accept it if they put a sticker that said "approach everything in this book with an open mind."

I like that. Isn't it funny that creationists demand that we have an open mind about evolution but a closed mind about creation. ;^)
