It is not necessary to follow every word in the Talmud to be a talmudic Jew, just as it is not necessary to follow every word in the Christian New Testament to be a Christian. The comparison ends here however. The Jewish Babylonian Talmud is the anti-thesis of the Christian New Testament. There are no comparable perversions in the Gospels. The Talmud is racist and particularistic. The Gospels are universalistic and embrace all men with love and forgiveness. The Talmud divides mankind around a core of falsehood, the letter of the law, no mercy, myths and perversions. The Gospels unite mankind around a core of reality, truth, love, mercy and forgiveness--the worth and integrity of eaCh human person.
