They shouldn't. What I realized after the election is that the Dems, despite getting totally outcampaigned, did not lose that badly in the Presidential election.


Yes, but it came when they were already down on the power ladder and after they had mounted an Herculean effort to win and lost. Its hard to feel upbeat after that double whammy.
