cool, that sounds EXACTLY like one of the categories that I've been watching.

started showing up in mid cap biotechs about a year ago.

those are the trades that are larger on days where I believe there is increased shorting...... the few stocks I've been watching.

but the big group of stocks showing unusual trades on friday and today? there's been program trading attacks on ^btk for the last 2-3 days, or something that would mimic it..... a major, diversified biotech fund bailing into the open market and aggressively, something like that. perhaps the weird trades are related to new-found program trading, apart from the usual index-related basket bit.
