I'll give you that one --- it started up shortly after bush assumed office.

(Of course it was one of the mildest and shortest recessions on record, and ended December of the same year. Much smaller a recession then the one at the end of Bush I.)

I don't agree. Clinton took a 7% unemployment rate and turned it into a 4% unemployment rate. Clinton took a $200 Billion budget deficit and turned it into a budget surplus.
