He swore by it and happily preached the gospel all through the department and far and wide to his fellow addicts. I never tried it, as my job allowed for frequent smoke breaks. "Start eating the weed instead of smoking it and the rest of us will stop complaining about you polluting our air." Now you know that's a cheap shot. Whose air am I polluting again? You know that I am the epitome of the polite smoker. Too many smokers mess it up for the rest of us. Drunk on the job? Nein! I once worked a shift that ended at 1:30 a.m. Lots of people work that sort of shift--even in California, I'd bet. "Well, gee, drunkeness is hardly a virtue, you know. AND there are licquor stores. You don't need bars full of other people looking for fights that need starting." There's a wide chasm between having an occasional afterwork drink and drunkenness and getting into bar fights. The liquor and grocery stores in California are forbidden by law to sell liquor, wine, or beer between 2:00 and 6:00 a.m.--a gross inconvenience to shift workers who do their grocery shopping after work. Chain stores are chain stores, wherever they are located. Their merchandise comes from the same places, I am sure. "And much more of the stock is manufactured in CA than NV." California is merrily moving much business to Nevada and other states which have a more business friendly climate. You don't really want to drink at the bar at a brothel. I hear the drinks are way overpriced. <g> "Yeah. Like tickets to those shows. As many people go to NV just for those shows as go to the brothels for the drinks." You'd be surprised! <g> "And how would YOU know about the price of drinks in brothels, anyway? :-)" One hears things. <g> And when does your fine Republican governor come up for reelection? "Never. We're planing no further elections when Republicans already have the office. " Bunch of fascists! <vbg> - Holly
