Maurice,like I said before,I recently visited China and spent time in a rural area.Granted pollution is bad,but that is a work in progress in most areas of the world,including Canada.The people certainly don't live to our standards,but they were decently dressed and seemed to be healthy.This was my second trip there in the last 4 years and I have yet to see a beggar.I enjoyed the people,although most of the people in the rural areas can't speak English.I am attempting to learn a little Mandarin for my next trip.The only words that I knew on my last trip were "wo bu dong" (I don't understand)<g>
