the argument i think on chris matthews was gore election was stolen away from him.. while Kerry blew the election. kerry out gore back in favor... also one of the head talkers says Hillary doesn't run. hmmm. Gore ran on 8 years of peace and prosperity, and lost to less-than-inspiring Republican moneybags candidate. If Democrats think now that Gore didn't blow it, they are forgetting what they thought about it 4 years ago. Thing to watch is chit tally. How many Democrats is Gore helping, how many chits is he collecting? That was Nixon's road back onto the ticket in 1968. So far I haven't seen Gore collect many chits, but then I haven't been looking.
