It's been longer than that. For you maybe in TX; not for those of us in the blue states. They were probably making their move since the 1980s but it was still pretty quiet.....again, in the blue states.Sorry, here they are handing the 'Pubes a stick, and then are shocked that they get beat with it. What do you see as the stick?Sure, the 'Pukes play hardball. It's politics for Christ's sake, not mumbly peg or dodgeball. If this was the first election they did this sort of stuff, they might have an excuse, but it ain't. No one suggested that politics was dodgeball but the GOP is playing war games, not competitive politics. And they are playing dirty......maligning and threatening people. I watched how they play during the recent governor's race. The Dems won here only because they knew the law inside out and followed it to the letter. If we behave as they do, then we are no better. BTW I am not sure the Dems could have pulled it off in a red state. And do you think that it was by chance the Superbowl had a military theme to it? This is serious shit.......no time to be calling people wusses because they are unwilling to rip someone's throat out with their teeth. More and more, the tentacles of the neocon's ideology is finding its way in non political venues.By trying to strategize and not to offend anyone, the Dims dance and wave their hands, while they get their throats torn out. "Dances With Wolves" was a movie, but they think it was a strategy... On this I agree, but how do you confront an enemy that believes anything goes; that uses lies as if they were truths. You, yourself, have said that you thought Rove capable of setting up Dan Rather. That speaks volumes. No question, the Dems must become more effective.......that they can't be afraid to stand behind their beliefs. But I am not sure I want to stoop to the GOP's level. Even if you win, you will have lost too much in the process. It doesn't help that the most substantive portion of the Dems......the CA contingency......is so corrupted. CA should be leading the revival of the party. Instead, they are fighting over body parts and pork in CA. Like I've said before, these disunited states are in for some bad times. ted
