Laz, While I would agree with omitting or replacing 3D names appearing in old posts, I am vehemently opposed to SI removing posts because they contain a perhaps real 3D name. Many of those old posts are works of literary art, and it would be a tremendous loss were they to disappear forever.

Another point to be considered is that if this deletion were to be done WRT the cited post, SI would be removing a post written by a person who is NOT protesting the post. In other words, the person mentioned in the post would have the power to have deleted a post they had not authored. Not a good idea.

As RDW correctly stated, how are we to know if someone used an alias or their real 3D name in those or any posts? - Holly
