Possibly, possibly not.

The President certainly argues so, but nearly all economists say that --- because of the way the cuts were structured --- there was *very little* immediate stimulative effect.

IMO, the largest factor in shortening (perhaps even prematurely... we have yet to wring the excesses from the system, which is the job of recessions. The next recession will likely be deeper and longer as a result) was the flood of cash unleashed by the Fed.

The Fed's efforts were orders of magnitude greater then the fiscal changes, in their immediate impact.
