The documents in question were produced by a machine, operated by a human being.

If you produce documents for a living, as a typesetter or a typographer or a printer, you become aware of little differences between letters that most people can't perceive. I was a typesetter for years, so I am tuned into slight variations in the slant of the tips of letters and other tiny differences between typefaces. I can see with my own eyes that the CBS/TANG documents were produced on a computer using Microsoft Word.

But you don't have to believe me. Forensic document examiners have databases of type which can be produced by machines, and they've reviewed the documents and concluded that the documents were produced on a computer using Microsoft Word. No expert who has reviewed the documents has identified any other process by which they could have been made.

Rewards in the range of $20K were offered for someone to find a machine that existed at the time that could have produced these documents and nobody was able to claim the reward.

It's a dead parrot.

I suppose you could argue that time travel is possible, and I can't prove that time travel isn't possible, but I know that it's not, and so do you.

This parrot is no more. It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet its maker. This is a late parrot. It's a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace. If you hadn't nailed it to the perch, it would be pushing up the daisies. It's rung down the curtain and joined the bleeding choir invisible. This is an ex-parrot.
