Is Hillary's source Christian doctrine, or some other philosophy?

That's just why I think it's a morass and they should shut up about it. I don't doubt that her source is Christian doctrine. Which then provokes an argument about what is the correct Christian doctrine. All well and good for Christians to have that argument, but not by using political issues as a proxy. We have enough political problems without the complication of making it an ecclesiastical fight.

Political arguments can be pragmatic. They can also be ideological. Ideology is informed by morality. Let's argue competing political ideologies if we must, but arguing competing Christian moralities in the political realm is a ticket to disaster.
