Laz, that was one of my my points: one person is asking that a post authored by another person be deleted on the grounds that it contains personal info which, at the time, was freely and willingly posted by the person requesting the deletion. That is just plain wrong. Any such personal info can be deleted without deleting the entire post. A point I didn't make in my previous post is the loss of the site's history--especially stock thead history--and the loss of continuity on the threads. Again, I vehemently oppose the deletion of posts but would heartily support the overwriting or elimination of such personal information within said posts. - Holly
