But, again, I am talking about national politics. There is a long history of dirty tricks on both sides. Pretending it isn't happening, like Kerry did, is dumb. The Dims did it twice in a row with the same guy. That definitely shows an inability to learn. Heck, Smirk dropped the "compassionate conservative" facade because even he realized that was a stick he could be beat with...

Either I have been missing something, or I just haven't reached your level of cynicism yet. In any case, the current politic climate and its manifestations is the first I've seen of this nature. Rossi, the former GOP gubernatorial candidate here, refuses to concede and announced yesterday that the GOP will continue its efforts to have an election revote. And now they have started a movement to impeach the Sec. of State for certifying the election. BTW he is a member of the GOP; that is, the GOP of old. Maybe this is business as usual in other parts of the country but its not the norm here.

And I understand that you are talking about national politics but this is symptomatic of what's happening on the national level. Again, I have never seen this kind of behavior before.........even with close elections........where someone refuses to concede and continues to threaten litigation. Something has changed and its recent, or I have simply been asleep and am just waking up. If I am right, then it seems to me that everyone has to acknowledge the change before a way can be found to combat the new tactics.
