Hi Nadine Carroll; Re: "30 or 60, my argument stands. And that 60 was during a month when the insurgents were throwing out everything they had in an effort to stop the elections."

You're still living in a fantasy land. US deaths in January were 107, total coalition deaths 127. While a large contribution to that total was deaths due to a helicopter crash, the simple fact is that we've been forced to use helicopters to move troops because highways are too unsafe due to guerilla activity. This is similar to Vietnam, where 18% of the names on the wall were noncombat fatalities, a hell of a lot of which were due to helicopter crashes.

Re: "Didn't work. We're not about to cut and run."

I agree that we're not "about" to cut and run, but eventually, yes, we will run. Or obtain "peace with honor" or whatever. It's a matter of public support for the war slowly decreasing, and them being more patient than we are.
