"How can the congress fall for this shit?"

Remember the guy who claimed he was threatened with being fired if he revealed to Congress the true cost of the program? The media wasn't all that curious about he details, they thought it was more important to get statements from people who thought it wasn't improper. I guess we know now what he was going to say...

Hmm, with those two years costing $320 billion over a projected cost of $40 billion a year, I guess there was some small difference. Ok, that is just a rough guess, it doesn't include YoY growth. However, it does seem like there are some toasty books hidden in there.

Hopefully the congresscritters will feel like they were snookered. Just like the ones, notably Kerry, who voted Bush the authority to do something about Iraq and then found out that meant they had to be Iraqi war supporters, regardless of how it was conducted, in perpetuity or be branded as a waffler. I guess Clinton spoiled them, with Smirk you had better count your fingers after you shake hands with him...
