Yup - attack the messenger.

Edit - I see you now have an opening to attack him - NFI. I know nothing about that, but I imagine we will now see lots of posts about how stupid he was to be in NFI and he is a sore loser, with an agenda, a tout, a promoter, or that he has tout friends, etc.

So maybe someone should research Donn Vickrey and see what his/her agenda is? NAH!! - He's a short. 100 hours devoted to attacking someone for claiming there is naked shorting. Sounds as if Donn Vickrey may be a bit desperate or worried about something.

Donn Vickrey, co-founder of Camelback Research Alliance in Scottsdale, Ariz., says his research team has spent more than 100 hours trying to pin down Mr. O'Brien. The independent stock-research firm has published four bearish reports this year criticizing NovaStar 's accounting practices and management. "My first theory was that he works for NovaStar ," Mr. Vickrey says. "My second theory was that he's someone hired by the company to promote the stock. My current theory is that I really don't know."

there's no need to read the message if the messenger is not credible

Geez that would mean we could skip hundreds, maybe thousands, of bashing posts. <ggg>

As indeed many of us do.

If you read those hundreds or thousands of bashing posts, or even a small subset of them, may I politely suggest that you need to find better things to do with your time. Tatting lace has always been considered a useful skill to occupy otherwise idle hands and minds.
