This reminds me of way back in 1950 when a play was produced at Penn State written by students. It used a lot of Jewish expressions as it was about Jews... The Jews with whom I associated thought it was terribly anti semitic to do this and have the characters speak with an accent..

This was an introduction for me as to how different Jews felt about issues.. No one can be lumped... into a category.
The students who wrote the play who were Jewish thought it was a great play for Gentiles to understand Jews...

Well intended but it back fired.

The movie causing me deep distress is a Rosenthal/Tenenbaum production starring Dustin Hoffman, and Barbra Streisand.

It's a comedy. Should we censor comedy that lampoons all ethnicity?
