My fight all along has been equality... health wise,tax wise and all those benefits available to heterosexual marriage.

So our attitudes are in perfect alignment. Except for one thing. You did the usual lefty thing ... you didn't answer my query about the contradiction of terms ... 'Marriage' vs 'gay marriage' are worlds apart in the context of the broad cultural understandings of the institution of marriage.

Why did you avoid that?

When gay marriage becomes legal (and it will), it will be up to religious groups to except them or not. Some will and some will not.But it's up to the government to make it equal.

It is called evolving as humans and being more tolerant. Look how far Americans have come since the 50's. I am sure some are still pissed about all that progress.
