This is starting to get pretty funny. The modern West is turning into a nuthouse. Can you imagine it? Hindus will soon begin an educational lobbying effort, sending swastikas all over the place, trying to wrest them from Jewish dictate. And Jews will start hysterically complaining about the growing visibility of the Nazi symbol that now connotes "unique" Jewish victimology. It will be a classical conflict in the West's great Culture War as these two minorities struggle to control contrasting identity markers -- but warring over the connotations of the very same symbol. Who owns what a swastika means? Who owns what ANYTHING means? Usually Jews, thanks to their intensity, tribal networking, and money. This will be an interesting struggle to watch, but the Hindus can't possibly win against the entrenched Jewish Lobby. Jewish control of the swastika is just too valuable to let go freely back into the world of ideas. Will Hindu love of the swastika be twisted by Jewish obsession into some form of perverse "anti-Semitism?"]

'Hey! This is no Nazi symbol',
The Times of India, January 21, 2005
"More Hindu voices have been added to the campaign against a ban on the swastika symbol in Europe after Prince Harry recently displayed it during a fancy dress party. Upset leaders of Britain's Hindu community announced a campaign on Thursday to "redeem" the swastika symbol from its Nazi association and reclaim it as Hinduism's ancient symbol of life and fortune. Due to the wrong use of the 5,000-year-old symbol by the Nazis, it became associated with anti-Semitism, hate, violence, death and murder. Ramesh Kallidai of the Hindu Forum is planning pro-swastika awareness workshops for every region of Britain with a large seminar to be held in London. Every MP will be lobbied by e-mail and an information booklet will be distributed to faith communities and others.
Kallidai told the media: "A symbol we have used for more than 5,000 years is now on the verge of being banned because of association with the Nazis over which we had no control. "Hindus wish to continue to use this symbol as part of their religion, but they risk being labelled Nazis or, in the case of a ban, risk breaking the law. We need to educate people about the historical context of the symbol, its wrong use by the Nazis and its importance to Hindus." He said it was ironic that a symbol depicting the wheel of life and good fortune had become a symbol of racism, torture and war."

I heard about these rocket attacks in the news. When the truth came out, the story suddenly disappeared.

xymphora.blogspot.com

Typical Israeli timeline:

1. Peace summit arranged in Egypt between Sharon and Abbas.

2. On the morning of February 7, a day before the summit is to start, Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz told Israel Army Radio that he had received intelligence warnings that some militants, including Hezbollah, may try to disrupt the summit.

3. Due to the intelligence warnings, Israel Police moved to a level III heightened alert status, one level below a state-of-emergency.

4. Like clockwork, on the afternoon of February 7, rockets rained down on the northern Israeli town of Nahariya, and were immediately described by Israeli police as Katyusha rockets fired by Hezbollah guerrillas in Lebanon.

5. Later in the same day, the attack was described as the result of 'human error' involving a failed test by an Israeli weapons manufacturer in the area. It was made clear - some might say too clear - that although the failed test took place on an IDF firing range and was by a weapons company closely associated with the IDF, the IDF had nothing to do with it.

Obviously, the IDF attempted to disrupt the summit, or even provide a reason to call it off, by faking a rocket attack by Hezbollah. It wasn't a coincidence that the Israeli Defense Minister announced the possibility of an attack in the morning, and a faked attack occurred in the afternoon. This is the usual Israeli terrorist B.S. On times too numerous to mention, whenever Sharon needs political cover to hide some outrage he is committing a convenient 'Palestinian' attack pops up to distract the press and make the poor, poor Israelis look like victims again. This time they were caught red handed, and had to come up with the laughable excuse of 'human error' in rocket testing (you've got to be kidding!). But here's the good part, and the aspect of this whole sordid matter that inspires some optimism. They were busted, and they were busted by IDF insiders. People in the IDF was so disgusted by the trickery that they spilled the beans, resulting in the necessity of the ridiculous cover story to explain the inconvenient fact that rockets coming from an IDF firing range were landing on an Israeli town. It wouldn't do for people to find out that crazies in the IDF were willing to murder Israelis in order to stop the peace process. The good news is that there are Israelis, including Israelis in the IDF, who wouldn't let them get away with it. If Israel is ever to have peace, we need to see more of this whistleblowing.
