Herb Meyer suggested today, as he has in a couple of the essays, that the birth rate decline is one of the three main problems. The US replacement, instead of a 2.3% (2 parents +) we are currently at 2.1%.

The real problem is Europe and Japan. Will get the figures later tonight, but it was startling. In effect, both countries are dying. Quite literally. The people that have been "imported"/immigrated are more of cultures who have not, and seem not required, to assimilate to the culture of the country they have entered. And these groups have a much higher birth rate percentage of growth.

No wrong....no right...just the way things are.
