How remarkably short-sighted. Your war will go on until there is peace or until Israel is destroyed. Israel cannot survive forever by killing people. There is only one form of security for Israel -- peace. Seek it now or live only as long as it takes for Arab countries to find a way to destroy Israel

Every time I think there is some hope for you, you go and say something as foolish as this.

Don't you understand that Hamas and Fatah et al are fighting a war whose purpose is to destroy Israel? I mean, they have hardly kept their goals a big secret! And while they think they have a chance to win, they are not going to be interested in making peace, because that means they lost. Let me say that again slowly: for Hamas, Fatah, and certainly for Arafat, PEACE = LOSING. PEACE = SURRENDER.

Hamas and Fatah didn't want to lose. They had to be persuaded by hard experence that they were not going to win this round. Only that hard experience could persuade them to stop fighting for a while. So Israel survives for a while longer and may get a respite from the suicide bombs. Israel was always willing to make peace. It was the other side that was not willing. It takes only one side to make a war. It takes two sides to make a peace.

Do you understand now the relation between cause and effect?
