If Hamas had the support of Palestinians, they would have run in the elections to represent ALL Palestinians. The percentage of Palestinians they represent is roughly equal to the percentage of Sunni in Iraq. Sunnis, who like Hamas boycotted their national elections, do not speak for Iraq. Nor does Hamas speak for Palestinians. If you want to pretend that Hamas represents the Palestiinians because it suits an anti-peace agenda -- so be it.
