The President's new speech writer is none other than Bill McGurn, who has worked for Murdoch at NEWSCORP and as chief editorial writer at Wall Street Journal.

I remember him first as Jack Fowler's boss at NR, pre-Clinton. The nation was still in Reagan's afterglow, and McGurn ran NR's Washington Bureau. I have has tome Perfidious Albion on the shelf, and it was fuel for my anti-PRC passions.

I believe it was Liasson that suggested that if the allegations were true Jordan (CNN) would have run like heck with them. Huge story ect.....

Names, telephone numbers, dates, quotes.....where are they?

I expect this to slowly burn out.
