I keep hearing you and John saying that a reduction in benefits is built into the system. However, I haven't seen any proof of this. If you guys have a link, then post it. Otherwise, you are just speculating.

On the other hand, I have posted links from the 2004 SS report that shows their estimates of 2042 depletion of SS Trust Fund assets. In addition, I've posted definitions of bankruptcy and insolvency that prove that the definition is when liabilities exceed market value of assets.

So when Bush says it will be bankrupt by 2042, that is fact based on the SS's on assessments. All of your denials won't change that fact. The only thing that will change that fact is if the CBO or SSA changes their assumptions based on new information.
