And we have, or at least had, some so-called backpack versions. Which takes two men to carry.

Yes, the nukes are a smokescreen. Oh, I suppose it could happen, nothing is impossible. But it is like the whole scare about lasers being used to blind pilots. While it could happen, there are lower risk and more effective techniques to bring down airliners.

A dirty bomb is a whole lot more probable than a nuclear bomb. That is something a terrorist could do in a garage. Ever hear about the radioactive Boy Scout?
