I trade those things in retirement accounts sometimes.

I realized today that somehow I ended up being long and short at the same time now.... just no time to pay decent attention, but it's probably okay. The short position is about 3 times the long position.

Probably I'll just hang tough through a drawdown on the long position, then close the short and flip it to the long side when the market starts showing signs of reversal.

AAPL was a good idea. You don't often see that kind of move to the downside in AAPL, and I think we'll see it bounce back some tomorrow even if the general market goes down. I might buy some more myself to trade, but I've already got a good sized core position.

Check out AMD.... looks like a great short to me. If it trades below the low of the day today, I will probably short it if I can (probably won't have time to watch the market tomorrow).

The semis are going down, and AMD is not exactly a sector leader... check out the relative strength on that chart, which is set to compare AMD with the $SOX.
