Hard to say. Kerry was so desperately looking for the correct thing to say that he never managed to articulate what he should have said.

He sunk himself and squandered his advantages.


In retrospect, I think you are right. The fear of losing caused Kerry to lose....if that makes sense. He should have relied on his own moral compass, assuming he has one, and proceeded from there.......that's what an Obama or Dean does IMO.

But overall, I still think he was a pretty good candidate -- any good campaign team would've helped him articulate that.

Do you think Bush would be able to articulate anything without his team?
