I had just bought the house, told wife area on west coast great. moved from va. first week we had undercover cops on front page of latimes, next we had earth quake, very mild but they were staying on 23 floor of bonaventure hotel and it shook the lights etc. then first day of school ,elementary. they get a lesson about rattle snakes in lockers or sunning themselves in the school yard. school was at bottom of mountain. following week a coyote walks off with a baby in Glendale ca. about 15 miles away.. first case ever heard of coyote taking a baby. then the dog showed up half dead from shipping it. I moved about three blocks from small strip mall so wife could shop close to home, may department store , grocery , day we moved it i go to show her small mall. The place is gone, the whole mall is leveled. the first couple weeks of a relocaton are difficult. g
