Hi Doug,

Yeah, I remember Bob Brinker.... and I remember ScrewULex, too. As I recall, you (and zillions of others) got bent, folded, spindled and mutilated on that one. What a mess.

Besides Rydex, there's also the Potomoc family of MFs and Profunds:

potomacfunds.com

These offer opportunities to take long or short positions in a variety of things. Some of them are leveraged like Rydex, some are not. Some have more modest leverage (e.g., 125% or inverse 125%).

These are especially nice for retirement portfolios that don't allow shorting or options. I trade these in retirement accounts sometimes.

Some retirement funds do allow shorting and options, btw---it is a common misconception that this is illegal.

DELL beat by $0.01, but came in light on revenues. Also, forward guidance indicated flat revenues, so DELL is trading down in about 3% in AH.

Crude did indeed successfully test $45, now trading right around $47:

Maybe these things will weigh on the market some. Not much news otherwise, and no earnings or economic reports tomorrow.
