No, the Iraqi elections weren't perfect, much of the Sunni vote was suppressed (though less than expected), and the new government is working to include Sunni views in writing the constitution. However, the Iraqis elections were free; nobody knew the winner beforehand instead of being ordered to line up behind the official candidate as in the Palestinian election.

Nobody is saying to just dismiss the Sunni opinion, they don't "represent" Iraq - even though the Sunnis are a much smaller minority by percentage (about 15%) than the estimated support for Hamas (30% - 40%).
