(I notice that you did not post your numbers from the Libertarian Web site... although you claimed to score strongly 'Libertarian'). Never-the-less, these are my scores from the same site: "World's smallest political quiz".lp.org My PERSONAL issues Score is 100%. My ECONOMIC issues Score is 90%. (Strong Libertarian, well within the Centrist range on the 'left-right' scale .) ================================================TEST TWO One of the more interesting sites is the "Political Compass " site. (I suggest that this one --- the only one you have yet to post any results for --- might be of particular interest for you, since it goes to some lengths to elucidate the 'left-right scale' (economic liberal-conservative) and the 'north-south scale' (Libertarian-Authoritarian). I find it to be more insightful then the other two. politicalcompass.org My results are : Economic Left/Right: -0.50 Authoritarian/Libertarian: -5.28 (Economic moderate --- just 1/2 point to the left of dead center, and strong Libertarian [anti-Authoritarian] ). =================================================TEST THREE *In some ways I found this to be the LEAST useful of the three sites, as I believe it's testing questions do not allow for sufficient nuance or complexity in answers (it only asks: increase, maintain, reduce. ) For just one example, if you support a *reduction* in government environmental regulations... it could be because you believe in the principle that 'he who does harm should be held responsible for paying the victims of that harm', which is a bit more of a Libertarian approach for rectifying harms in society, and does not necessarily imply that a strong-handed federal bureaucracy is required. My results from the 'Political Party Matchmaker' (site that attempts to align your personal views with the political party that most closely expouses those views).3pc.net 1) Libertarian Party----96% 2) Constitution Party---65% 3) Reform Party---------48% 4) Republican Party-----43% 5) Democratic Party-----35% 6) Green Party----------26% 7) Natural Law Party----17%Your results from the 'Political Party Matchmaker' : 1) Libertarian Party----91% 2) Constitution Party---74% 3) Republican Party-----52% 4) Reform Party---------39% 5) Democratic Party-----30% 6) Green Party----------17% 7) Natural Law Party----13% (On a parenthetical note, I'd like to observe that one important metric that appears to be missing from ALL THREE of the above tests --- indeed, from nearly every test I've yet found --- and does not fit on the standard 'east-west, north-south' matrix is RELIGIOUSITY. I agree that it is important to test for ECONOMIC views (standard 'left-right' classification), and for attitudes towards AUTHORITY ('Libertarian-Authoritarian' scale)... but I'd like to find a test that *also* made room for attitudes toward religious faith. Perhaps you will run across one... if so, please post it to me, I'd appreciate it.)
