Taro, I suspect that so called liberals just too often feel a need to hang out those signs to show rather than just acting on it while keeping it private. Because true empathy and compassion like true love mostly is a very private and often almost holy thing. Ironically, that's the same charge that liberals lay upon the religious right. Not that some of those on the religious right don't deserve it, but the speck and the plank in one's eye comes to mind. Tenchusatsu
