That story on the deficit is garbage.

The deficit so far for fiscal 2005 (starts Oct 1, 2004) is $237.8 Billion, not $109.2 Billion.

The deficit to Feb 9, 2004 (same time frame) was $226.1 Billion ... so things are getting worse, not better.

When they report those numbers, they like to exclude all off-budget items. Last time I looked, we pay for those too.
