"Force their narrow-minded views upon society"? Hell I thought the liberals were just looking out for the little guy, which is their tradition.

The moral failing is the notion that you have to be part of the liberal mindset in order to be considered compassionate.

Did it ever cross your mind that maybe there is something to it? After all, why did Bush feel the need to run the first time on the moniker, compassionate conservative? Maybe because compassion and GOP are not necessarily seen as a good fit.

I've figured out long before I stopped being a liberal that compassion goes well beyond the political mindset. Yet I have seen the liberal establishment constantly force their narrow-minded views upon society in the name of compassion and empathy. After a while, I gave up trying to remain part of that establishment.

Forced their narrow minded views? You mean like equal opp. laws or a legal abortion or racial equality. Yeah, I guess that must be tough to deal with when you don't believe people deserve a fair shake or control over their own bodies.

Could be that the moral failings are your own and have nothing to do with liberals?

You would not have come to that conclusion about me had I remained a liberal. That proves my point, that liberals often act as if they have a monopoly on empathy and human compassion.

I asked a simple question and instead of an answer, I get more criticism. I don't think it proves any points about liberals but I think it may say something about you.
