A post Arafat-Saddam world is a new world and it is not by accident but rather by strategic design, the ultimate success of pushing the reforms within Islamic world through stick and carrot, the infamous Bush doctrine at work, the results are visible all over from Abbas-Sharon changed attitude to enfranchisement /voting in closed SA after 1960....The day that peace broke out? “THE calm which will prevail in our lands starting from today is the beginning of a new era,” declared Mahmoud Abbas after his first summit as Palestinian leader with the Israeli prime minister, Ariel Sharon. “For the first time in a long time there exists in our region hope for a better future for us and our grandchildren,” concurred Mr Sharon.
