The net buying by foreign CBs is now $5 B this year. It seems they finally decided to step aside. Fed hasn't done any monetizing since Dec 16. The market should have been falling apart. It still is hanging tough.

Equity funds report net cash inflows totaling $4.460 billion in the week ended 2/9/05 with Domestic funds reporting 51% of the inflows ($2.3 Bil);
International funds report inflows ($1.75 Bil) to all Developed and Emerging Regions with more funds reporting inflows (704) than any week since 11/10/04;
Emerging Markets Equity funds report inflows totaling $589 million, the second largest inflow on record ($707 Mil; 1/5/94) as large inflows are reported by the iShares MSCI EAFE Index fund ($313 Mil);
More Emerging Markets Equity funds report inflows (156) and fewer report outflows (64) than any week since 4/7/04;
Taxable Bond funds report net cash inflows of $755 million with the largest going to Corporate Bond funds investing in High Yield securities ($287 Mil) and Investment Grade securities ($211 Mil);
Largest High Yield inflows went to Potomac Dynamic HY Bond fund ($173 Mil);
Money Market funds report outflows totaling -$9.365 billion, all from Taxable funds as Tax-exempt MM funds report inflows of $218 million;
Municipal Bond funds report inflows of $109 million, the first time six consecutive weeks of inflows have been reported to the sector since 3/24/04.
