A sad story. A black lab/rotty mix? Quick story. Was dating a gal who looked like Natalie Wood. I wanted a black lab/rotty mix. She was an animal lover large. She had the biggest selection of fowl and animals of any human I knew.
So.... she bought me a dog that she was told was that mix.
It turned out NOT to be. Most unloving anti-christ of a black lab/rotty of all time.
That's why this is a sad story.

I've always thought the expression "God bless America" was strange.

Why request a blessing that only extends to our borders? Why not let Mexico and Canada enjoy a little blessing too? Maybe be a little generous and go with "May God bless America and also those portions of Mexico and Canada that lie within 100 miles of our national borders."

A half mile from me lives an old Husky female dog. When my two Pyrenees puppies were just pint sized she would come into our garage eat all their food and then take them back to her place. She would have to march them across a field, a gravel road and then across a secondary highway that is sometimes very busy. The first time this happened I searched everywhere, phoned the pound checked the ditches and about three hours later found them peering at me defiantly from under a pine tree in the Husky dogs front yard.

This happened several times with me fetching the increasingly defiant puppies and lecturing them on the way home about what little ingrates they were. Then one day I thought if they were happier down the road then to hell with all them and I stopped fetching them. A couple of days later the Husky brought them back to my place obviously having had her fill of baby sitting, I think it may have also dawned on her that I put out much better dog food than she was getting at her place.
