Not true. The PV of future net cash flows for SS over a 70 year period is negative $4 trillion. They currently have something like $2-3 trillion in assets. Therefore liabilities exceed market value of assets. They are bankrupt. It will be even more apparent to everyone when net cashflows turn negative in 2018 and then when the SS Trust fund has zero assets in 2042.
