Bednarik is a bitter old man but regardless of his feelings towards the current Eagles ownership as well as the current players of today makes no difference.

I never got to see him play but looking at some of the old clips of him (the Gifford hit, etc.) and talking to the old timers you knew he was one of the greatest to ever step on to the gridiron.

I think Bednarik believes he & the 1960 Team will be forgotten if the Birds get the ring.
