<<My mom lived in FL and had a bad back for 15 years because she fooled with Chiropractors for 15 years.>>

My experience has been the opposite starting when I was about 12. I had banged my head on the YMCA pool and we went to a neighborhood cookout that night. Headache so bad I couldn't eat. One of the neighbors was a Chiropractor and he cracked my neck, I thought he had killed me, but my headache was gone. I used to go to Chiropractors when my back hurt or started having headaches, now I go every 6 weeks and always feel better after getting cracked.

I guess it has a lot to do with what kind of problem you have.
