One of the more interesting aspects of MUN is that their project will be the largest mining project in production when they get it going according to the plan. Despite the large geographic area that demonstrates potential to host large deposits, a lack of exploration and capital has resulted in the vast majority of Chinese gold mines producing at limited rates. The Chinese will use the technique of several other Asian countries, by opening their borders to JV partners from the West, they will learn the skills to operate a larger mine, and then train their own people to staff other domestic operations with the knowledge gained. MUN is a very important project to them, and I sincerely doubt there will be any real risk to that project going ahead. The economics of it look very good and the gold market certainly seems strong for the years ahead. They are still uncovering new gold bearing zones and increasing the total resource even as they work to complete the infill drilling around the zone that they plan to make the starter pit. I think MUN is a solid, undervalued company, although I do not own any.

cheers!

I remember reading last month about the first project coming on stream that would be by westerners or australians. Can't remember the name.
