If as GOOG's founders say you're focused on the long-term, then dropping 79% to 45 as EBAY did is no big deal, you sold shares yes but you're focused on the long-term. I have a feeling that maybe GOOG executives will breathe a sigh of relief if/when GOOG crashes, so they can get out of the CNBC and Wall Street eye to some extent, and focus on what they do best - and, after analyst day with the GOOG chef presenting but not the GOOG CFO, it ain't PR! :-)

I have a great belief in GOOG long-term. I think it's a wonderful company.

If you're GOOG management, it's not in your best interest to have the company's stock fall off a cliff for no reason at all but a lockup expiration.
