You pretend that a TV anchor prevaricating is ok, but one reporter that fails to conform to the liberal mold is a problem. It wasn't a lie. He got the truth through a mislead/lying informant and did not check out his sources closely. It was sloppy journalism, not a lie. Bush did screw up his NG service.......there is no question about that one. However, Rather blew it trying to prove it and killed the story in the process. For that reason, he deserves to be fired. He helped get a suspect president re elected. And I might point out Rather's sloppy journalism is the norm for FOX; after all, they have been caught "prevaricating" more times than I care to think about. As for your reporter that you think is so innocuous, he wasn't lying about a particular story he was lying about who he is and trying to make the president look good in press conferences, a forum at which Bush has stunk in the past. That follows closely on the heels of two or three journalists WHO WERE PAID BY THE WH to report stories in a way that favored the WH. In the past, that kind of compromising of the media was found mostly in totalitarian forms of gov't. Bush has brought us a new first. Get some credibility, then we can discuss it. LOL. There is a credibility problem but its not on this side. I can remember when you first posted here. You were so prepared to be honest and fair. How that has changed as certain truths re. the right have been brought to the light. ted
