But I found something that contradicts what you said: "But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. [Mark 10:6-8] Did Mark say it or did Jesus? And do you really think that gay marriage was an issue back then? Did Jesus ever take a stand on abortion, cloning, about going to the moon, capital punishment or stem cell research? Those were ancient times........Jesus couldn't possibly cover all the issues of this time. It would have made little sense to the ancients. Here are some other verses in the Bible that argue against homosexuality and gay marriage. This is why Christians typically are against gay marriage. We have been taught from our childhood that it is wrong and it is plain as day for anyone to see in the Bible. So if you believe in the Bible as God's law, then you believe that gay marriage and homosexuality are a sin. "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." [Leviticus 20:13] "But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman should have her own husband." [I Cor 7:2] "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders" 1 Corinthians 6:8-10 Well, there you have it.........all the above as well as non Christians will not inherit the kingdom of God. I don't fit into the above groupings and I am a Christian so I could inherit the kingdom of God but then some of my atheist, Jewish and Muslim friends wouldn't be there. No thanks.......I'll go where they're going and you good and loyal Christians can do whatever! ;~) Later, ted
