It was still an offensive post. Not to mention a post that had nothing to do with defending himself against being cought saying he is against banning yet bans people on his own threaed. Saying liberal threads have long ban lists while he posts on a right wing thread that has banned 38 SI member, most if not all have never posted on that thread.

He didn't defend himself because he can't.....
