OK, find me something that says that SS is allowed to take from the general fund in order to pay benefits. You won't find it, 'cause it doesn't exist. If the money isn't there, then the benefits are reduced. That's why we have to do something now. When are you going to explain how the debt from private accounts "save" SS when you burden it with ~$5Trillion in debt? John
