Thanks.. But back already as I just noticed this. A little bit about the filming of "The Misfits"

rgj.com

An excerpt:

<<It was with Monroe in mind that Miller wrote the screenplay for “The Misfits,” which came out in 1960. Directed by John Huston, it starred Monroe, Clark Gable, Montgomery Clift, Eli Wallach and Thelma Ritter.

With the exception of Gable, the entire cast stayed at the Mapes Hotel, where Harry Spencer had his advertising agency and handled all the publicity for the Mapes.

“Miller was like most writers — introspective,” said Spencer, 77. “When it came to social events, he would sit in a corner and let Marilyn and the others take the spotlight.”

Monroe and Miller were complete opposites, but Miller and Huston also were an odd couple, Spencer said.

“Every night, they would sit at a booth in the Coach Room of the Mapes and rewrite the script for the next day. It was funny to watch. Huston was very outgoing — loud and boisterous. He would dominate the conversation, and Miller would sit there puffing on his pipe and scribbling notes.”

At the time, “The Misfits” was the most expensive black-and-white film ever shot, partly because of Monroe’s late arrivals on the set or no-shows, which doubled the production time, Spencer said.

“For some reason, the movie didn’t do too well,” he said. “It was too deep for people who liked westerns and too western for people who liked deep movies.” >>

I like the last quote best..LOL, Must be perfect for me.. I have to get it..:)
