John, as you know I shipped my dog over from Ireland. The carrier was AIR FRANCE and the treatment was likely BETTER then the human passengers got. Air France ships many animals of all types, they even have dedicated, experienced animal handlers at both ends of the shipment. The animals are first mildly sedated, but they see that there is water available at all times to the animals, when they arrive at destination they are taken FIRST off the plane, brought to a dedicated area, cleaned up, rewatered and if they have to spend the night fed. jdn
